~that I owned silver flats.
~that we’d get more rain – though Sunday’s was much appreciated.
~that I could just spend my afternoons curled up on a green velvet chair, reading Harry Potter. (I’ve begun reading the series through again after seeing movie #6, and they are as delightful – and compelling – as ever.)
~that I got more exercise – but it’s so blasted HOT that I’m not motivated.
~that it were already a month from now, when we leave for the UK.
~that I had a window in my office. (Couldn’t we just take down the massive dry-erase board and cut out a hole in the wall?)
~that I had more pretty wear-to-work warm-weather blouses. (Why are they so hard to find?)
Life is still good, though. Good books, slightly cooler weather, literary lunches with Julie, and a massive loaf of French bread as a present from a neighbour – these make the long, quiet hours at work well worthwhile.
Katie, I just love how your mind works and the wonderful imagination the Lord has blessed you with. I really enjoy your creativity with your posts quite immensely. Keep making me smile and remember that what you do does make a difference! We need to go to lunch or have dinner soon.
