Seen on the side of a building, along 5th or 6th Avenue.
The whole city was blooming. Mmmmmm.
The Chocolate Room is as delectable as it sounds, and (from left) here are Annette, myself, Amelia, Crystal and Julie, with hot chocolate (both frozen and hot), white chocolate-raspberry ice cream, and all sorts of yumminess.
We spent a great deal of time in this, the kitchen on the “garden floor,” right next to Amelia’s and my room. Felt like old times in the basement kitchen in Oxford.
This is Amelia, my travel buddy, roommate and new dear friend.
I love this silly, happy photo of Jen (“Yoda pigtails” and all) – it embodies the spirit of our time together. Such joy.
Love these, Katie … and, for the record, I could use a frozen hot chocolate right this minute. Wish we could time travel back to The Chocolate Room.
Oh, I love those stenciled words on the building, even with that dangling comma (ha). It sounds like the best kind of adventure, and I’m so glad it was wonderful for you.
I just love the stenciled words on the side of the building, what a great find! I’m thinking we should reunite in the fall, schedule a reunion maybe in some cool location and go snow skiing or something 🙂
I read Jen’s blog sometimes (actually referred by a completely different website than your sweet blog). I’m so glad you got to do this, and I’m so glad I have a friend out there trying to love the world for all it’s beauty. I’ll be so glad to visit you next year in Abilene (or wherever you’ll be by then…).
