This has been what my friend Amber calls a “Super Weekend” and what I call a “collect them all” weekend. By that I mean: everything has been happening at once.
Since Thursday, we’ve had a houseguest, a wedding rehearsal, a rehearsal dinner, a movie night, a wedding, and the cleanup for said wedding. And on Sunday, we sang on the praise team at church, brought donuts to our Bible class, hosted our small group and talked until midnight with a few dear friends from that crowd.
I’ve spent hours laughing with (and at) friends, snapped a ton of photos, squeezed in two yoga classes and some knitting, sliced cake, served punch, walked around in high heels and finally ditched them for flip-flops, snapped photos, cleaned the kitchen, cleaned it again, sung until I’m hoarse, served communion to my dear ones, done copious baking and cooking and laundry, worn my favorite little black dress, and eaten an incredible quantity of tortilla chips. (Friday night: Abuelo’s. Saturday afternoon: Rosa’s. Saturday night: Chili’s. Sunday lunch: Los Arcos. Yes, I’ve managed to hit ALL my favorite Tex-Mex joints in three days.)
All that to say: I’m exhausted. And sleep-deprived. But man, was it an awesome weekend. Photos and wedding stories to come.
Wow- I guess you did have a busy weekend! I’m surprised you are up and at ’em today 🙂
I am loving your new banner pic!
Sounds like one of those crazy weekends you can only handle once in a while but they are super fun! You’re due for some relaxing weekends to come…
XO

seriously i’m not sure how all that is even possible! i hope it was fun! you are super girl!!!
Looks like you picked the wrong week to quit amphetamines!
(That’s a joke from “Airplane”people – Katie doesn’t actually take speed… as far as I know.)
By the way, you mentioned photos and it reminded me of your post a thousand years ago (give or take) about 26 things to do before your turn 27, and you were saving up for a DSLR. I thought I’d let you know that you are always welcome to borrow my gear and play around if you’d like. It will give you a better idea what you’d like when you are ready to buy. (It’s insured, no worries.)
[…] you know, I’ve been catching my breath for about the last week, from a zany weekend filled with friends, guests, hosting events, wedding […]
