What do you love to smell?
I love your list! My favorite smells include: lavender, the subtle fruity essence of my ‘Bohemian perfume from American Eagle, fresh flowers, cinnamon, pepperment, freshly brewed Lady Earl Grey (as well as Earl himself!), all the smells of Fall, fesh cut grass, and rain.
Wow! My list would include lavender, the smell of a freshly picked tomato still warm from the sun, bread baking, freshly laundered bed sheets, old books, and grass during the summer and early fall.
Mmmm… I love every item on your list, except #3 and #4, but maybe only because I do not know them. Also, for #8, sub my husband. 😉
And I would add everything from Lauren’s and theveryhungrybookworm’s lists (except the purchased perfume).
Also: fresh oysters in the shell roasting over a wood fire until they spit; horses, especially after a rub-down; fresh jasmine or lilac blossoms, but nearly nothing that is made from them; corn being shucked.
Probably so many more, too. Wonderful thing to think about Katie.
Newborn babies. Christmas dolls. My husband’s shoulder in the middle of a busy day. The first whiff from a fresh bag of peppermints.
(and I love that you wear your mother’s perfume.)
Baking bread. Even better than baking chocolate cake and that’s pretty good.
I’m afraid I can’t think about that now. But I will later this year .-)
I came up with a few without getting sick:
– fried onions (throw some onions in a hot skillet and everyone thinks you are a great cook)
– fresh garlic
– my husband’s curries (usually including onions and garlic and a variety of spices)
– grilled meat
– babies
– my son’s strawberry toothpaste
– everything citrus
– lilac
– the rosebushes in front of my house
– spring air
