We are (as I may have mentioned a few times) in the middle of a move, and my brain is full of boxes and packing tape and change of address forms.
But in my quieter moments this week, Kate Lord Brown’s novel The Perfume Garden (which I bought in Halifax) has been a delight.
What are you reading?
That looks good! I’m almost finished with Missing, Presumed.
Good luck with your move …I have not heard of this book maybe give it a try . I am reading ‘Ghostbird ‘ by Carol Lovekin set it Wales , where I live . It’s magical and witchy …give it a go 📚📚✨
That sounds intriguing!
Lovely picture! I hope the move is going well. I’m distracted as well but when I do manage a few pages, I’m still on an Angela Thirkell kick. I just finished Wild Strawberries and am now on to August Folly.
Must try some Thirkell. Hope your move has gone well too!
I’ve heard of The Perfume Garden. Since you think it’s a delight thus far I might have to add it to my TBR pile. I just finished reading Hanover House by Brenda Novak, and I’m reading Under the Boardwalk by Amie Denman, a sweet wholesome romance that is set in an amusement park.
I’m reading The Atomic Weight of Love….good so far!
Oh, I loved that one. Hope you enjoy!
I’m almost done with The Elegance of the Hedgehog, chosen, I think, for its interesting title. I felt like I was wading through the first half, but the second half is so good, that I think I’ll be recommending it.
Hope the worst parts of the move are behind you!
Just finished The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend, and am now on the 4th Harry Potter (second time reading the series since Sept last year when I first read them all).
Love Harry Potter so much. Did you like Broken Wheel?
I did, and I didn’t, and I’m not sure why.
